GEOMETRY PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

 

 

•Research Paper

§        Include history of geometric concept (famous people, where originated, famous works of art, etc.)

§        Include explanation of geometric concept and how it relates to art and geometry

§        Must cite all sources in MLA format

§        Plagiarism will receive an automatic 0!

 

 

•Student-Made Examples of Art Using the Geometric concepts

§        Student must make all examples of artwork themselves!

§        Student will be asked to demonstrate to the teacher/class how to make their artwork.

§        3 Examples total, 2 MUST be made by hand, 1 may be created using a computer program

§        Examples should show a variety of different types of art created using the geometric concept.

•Presentation should include:

§        Brief history of topic

§        Examples, including student made examples

§        Description of how you made your examples and what math was involved (might include pictures of you making your art)

§        If you interviewed an artist or someone else to get information about your topic you should include information learned in your presentation

§        Presentation May Be:

o       Poster

o       Book

o       PowerPoint Presentation

o       WebPages or Website
